Bed Warmer eh?

"International hotel chain Holiday Inn is offering a trial human bed-warming service at three hotels in Britain this month"
--article from Reuters

Yes, I know what it sounds like. But it's supposedly legit. Although... why not get just get a heat futon?

Even better, just make one: put a giant resistor inside the comforter and put a micro-controller to control the amount of current through the resistor, and use Power = (Current)^2 * Resistance to control the power dissipated (and thus the heat). I may be wrong, but it seems easier to make than my senior project...

So, any engineers wanna step up to the task?

*edit*

I forgot to give credit to smash for sharing this article with me.
